Duties for clan leadership will depend heavily on the level of competitiveness in which you wish to play. Leaders of clans chasing a top 100 MEBC position will typically be much more involved than leaders of more laid back clans. We are going to review the different things leaders do to help create and grow successful clans. This is part one of a series. There are many things to consider as a clan leader and part one discusses establishing clan rules. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or if you’ve been doing it for a long time, you should hopefully find something to help your clan. As the leader, you set the tone. If you want a competitive clan, rules need to be established and enforced. A more laid back approach doesn’t always mean you aren’t competitive. Based on experiences of other leaders, it is very difficult to consistently complete point challenges and win battles if half the players in the clan are inactive. MEBC: The Fly Over

Mighty Eagle runs a tight ship and expects you to play in Boot Camp daily. Those who do will be handsomely rewarded. Do not be intimidated! This is a great place to practice and earn free rewards. You only get one free run, so make the most of it. If you wish to make additional attempts it will cost you gems, currently 60 gems pre rerun. The goal is to clear as many rooms as you can while causing as much damage as possible until you run out of birds or rooms. There are a limited number of rooms but it is rare for a player to finish MEBC with birds left over. Each room cleared pays Mighty Eagle coins. Additionally, the higher your final score, the more Mighty Eagle coins you will earn when the days training is complete. Your daily placement on the Local Leaderboard pays if you place high enough, and your frame coins are tallied up and paid out at the end of the season. MEBC seasons vary between 40-48 days typically. When you play MEBC you compete against all players in the game.

Dummies Defined

One of the hot button issues in Angry Birds 2 is the use of dummies in clans. This poses the question, what is a dummy? The FaceBook advocacy group ‘No Dummies Allowed AB2’ defines a dummy as player accounts maintained at a low flock power solely for biasing Clan vs Clan matches. Dummy accounts are usually easy to spot. The main thing to look for is flock power, many times it’s below 65. A combination of white MEBC frames, Vanilla League, no hatchling, and a base level slingshot are also signs of dummy accounts. The dead giveaway is not having the whole flock unlocked. Some dummy accounts may only have three or four birds open. At this point you may be wondering how in the world such a small flock could give a clan any sort of advantage. Valid question! From what we can tell Rovio matches clans based on the number of players and the clan flock power. They didn’t fully account for the distribution of flock power within the clan.
